Georgia Rose Production’s Presents
SAMANTHA SMILES AND THE NEO-ROMANTIC BLOODY LOVE SPIRAL” written by Chloe Estabrook follows our main character as niche and overly elaborate as the title itself. Film school dropout Samantha Smiles decides on one dreary Colorado day that she is ready to kill herself. Only, a regular suicide is much too boring for our debutante-of-dramatics. So naturally she decides on the next most logical course of action, show up at the front door of her local serial killer and convince him to kill her and create a “snuff film”. The only road block in the way being the potential romance that is sparked between the twisted two.
"OVER MY DEAD BODY” is a unique new comedy from Director Georgia Rose about sisterhood, death, and the always light and cheery concept of lingering Jewish guilt. This film follows Rebecca “BEX”, our under-achieving, bitter and sardonic main character one cigarette break away from snapping. She has been invited to a distant aunt's funeral and cannot wait to leave her mother and sisters' ("El") dramatics behind at the funeral home. Assuming she can get through the obituary without killing her sister first.
We need your help!
In making these two films for our senior thesis projects, we aim to tell female led stories about the tragedy, kindness and humor of womanhood. We want to reflect and represent girlhood in all of its complexities and flaws, while hopefully making you laugh along the way. Click the link to donate to help make these stories come to life!
